Meet your French teacher

My name is Alice, and I’m passionate about languages, cultural exchange and learning new ones.

👩‍🎓 MY BACKGROUND

After earning a BA in Linguistics and a Master’s in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), I taught French abroad and in France.
I have worked in Hungary, India, the United Kingdom (French Institute), and France, teaching for universities, companies, au pairs, language schools, and private students.

Through these experiences, I have supported more than 1,000 learners, from beginner to advanced level (A1 to C2).

🌐 LANGUAGES & ME

I learned English at school and later lived in London, which allows me to use English when I travel, and sometimes in my lessons.

But when I moved to work in Hungary and India, I didn’t know the local language at all. I understood nothing! I faced real everyday challenges:
– not understanding what I was buying at the supermarket,
– struggling to get around, reading a map or signs,
– asking for information,
– ordering in a restaurant…

So I know the frustration and the mental blocks that can happen when you’re trying to speak, read, and understand native speakers.

These experiences now help me support my students with patience, understanding and efficiency.

📙 WHAT I TEACH

I teach the four key skills you need to develop in French:

Listening comprehension
Speaking
Reading comprehension
Writing

I offer General French and Conversation lessons, and I also prepare students for the main official exams: DELF, TCF, CLOE.

🧩 MY APPROACH

Every lesson is built around a clear objective.

I always adapt to each student’s level, pace and needs. We take the time you need to understand, learn and practise, in a warm and motivating atmosphere.

I use a wide range of resources: texts, videos, audio, interactive exercises and authentic materials, all tailored to your level and your goals.

I also offer homework, detailed corrections and personalised follow-up to support steady, long-term progress.

I particularly enjoy working on pronunciation, self-expression and speaking confidence.

Lessons can be taught in French or English, depending on your level and needs.

I work exclusively with adults. My students include professionals, international students, expats, au pairs, and people learning French for personal or professional reasons.
