a) Data you provide via the contact / booking form

When you fill in the form, I may collect the following:
• First name (required)
• Email address (required)
• Nationality (required)
• Native language (optional)
• Message content, if you use the “message” field (if available)

 

b) Technical data (collected automatically)

When you browse the website, some technical data may be collected automatically by the site and/or the hosting provider, for example:
• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Browser type and device type
• Pages visited
• Data required for security and the proper operation of the website

 

This data is mainly used for security, website operation, and maintenance.

3. Why is this data collected?

  • arrange lessons (booking, availability, level, needs),

  • manage the pre-lesson relationship (necessary exchanges to set up lessons),

  • pre-contractual steps taken at your request (when you contact me to book or request information),

  • legal obligations, where applicable (for example, keeping certain records if a service is provided and a legal requirement applies).

5. Who has access to the data?

Your data is intended for French with Alice only.

It may be processed through technical service providers strictly necessary for running the website, including:

  • Hostinger (website hosting)

  • Hostinger email services : form messages are sent to contact@frenchwithalice.com

  • WPForms : form plugin, technical processing of form submission in WordPress

No commercial data sharing. No resale of data.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Depending on the configuration of the technical services used (hosting provider, plugins, associated services), some data may be processed outside the European Union.

If a transfer outside the EU occurs, it will be limited to what is necessary and protected by appropriate safeguards (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. How long is your data kept?

  • Requests that do not result in lessons: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted / cleared

  • Requests that result in lessons: kept for as long as needed to manage the teaching relationship, then archived or deleted

  • Technical data (logs): kept for a limited period, generally set by the host and/or security requirements

8. Security

I use reasonable measures to protect your data (restricted access, strong passwords, updates, secure hosting).

However, no system is completely secure. If an incident occurs, appropriate steps will be taken to limit any impact.

9. Cookies and tracking

The website may use essential technical cookies required for its operation (display, security, performance / cache).

I do not use advertising cookies.

If, in the future, I add analytics tools or third-party services that set non-essential cookies, an information and, where necessary, consent mechanism may be implemented.
